Kettlebell Yoga
Kettlebell Training is one of the fastest growing fields in the strength and conditioning world. The simple design of the Russian Kettlebell allows it to be used in a wide variety of activities. Dr. Cook has developed a set of yoga exercises that can be augmented by adding a kettlebell.
Yoga ultimately has the goal of building strength and flexibility. Training yoga poses with a kettlebell has the potential to dramatically improve your power. By developing strength within yoga poses, particularly near the limits of flexibility, safety and function both improve. When we become stronger at the limits of flexibility we are able to exercise more control, maintain better stability, and decrease the risk of injury.
In addition to the many benefits of combining kettlebells and yoga, it’s a great way to have fun and get a great workout.
